Quarterback Tom Brady’s legendary status has often prompted wisecracks about how supernatural forces must be responsible for his success. While Brady certainly isn’t making deals with crossroads demons (that we know of), there may actually be some truth to these playful musings.
Tom Brady Might Have A Little Supernatural Boost After All…
After six Super Bowl wins with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady has just won his seventh while in his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course this latest win came as no surprise to his wife Gisele Bündchen. The supermodel is after all, a self-proclaimed “good witch.” According to Brady, his wife has quite an instinct about these things and there are a series of rituals she performs to see her predictions through.
When asked about superstitious pregame practices back in 2019, Brady offered more than anyone expected about the methods his wife employs:
“You know I’ve learned a lot from my wife over the years,” Brady said, “She’s so about the power of intention and believing things that are really going to happen. She always makes a little altar for me at the game, because she just wills it so much…”
“So she put together a little altar for me that I can bring with pictures of my kids, and I have these little special stones and healing stones and protection stones, and she has me wear this necklace, and take these drops she makes, and I say all these mantras…”
The audience laughed, taking it all in jest, “I stopped questioning her a long time ago. I did. I just shut up and listen” he confessed (and it’s probably a good thing he did).
Brady went on to give a few examples of his wife’s predicted wins and losses during his time with the Patriots.
“About four years ago we were playing the Seahawks and she said ‘you better listen to me, this is your year, but this is all the things you’re going to have to do to win,’ and I did all those things and by God, you know, it worked!”
According to Brady, Bündchen warned him 2015 would not be his year. Sure enough, they lost. Then, he was back on top in 2016 – just as predicted.
Gisele’s methods may be unconventional but her predictions have been on point and Brady has no doubt in her ability to contribute to his success.
